We have full time opportunities for a Registered Nurse to join us on Allingham, a 28 bedded ward caring for patients with a range of gastroenterology conditions, including luminal gastroenterology, hepatology and hepatobiliary and pancreatic disease.

This is a chance to develop your skills as part of a highly capable team where you're guaranteed opportunities to learn how to care for patients requiring a variety of nursing interventions. You will be supported by our practice educators and senior nurses to help you develop

Main duties of the job

  • Plan the delivery of patient care and take responsibility for implementing and evaluating the care provided.
  • Use of available electronic systems to provide care and safety for our patients.
  • To provide advice and education to patients, staff and learners within the directorate as required.
  • Be able to prioritise their own workload and of those working with them such as learners and Healthcare Assistants
  • To develop communication networks across specialities and throughout the multidisciplinary team. -
  • Fostering a mentoring environment in line with our teaching hospital.
  • Carry out nursing care to the highest possible standard according to Trust Policies and and Clinical Guidelines.
  • To administer patient medication according to Trust Policy, this includes the administrationof intravenous medication.
