There is an exciting opportunity to become part of the team at Camden Specialist Drug Service, which is the complex drug service in Camden - operating across 2 sites.
Camden Specialist Drug Service is the complex prescribing service in Camden's Integrated model. Camden and Islington Trust are the lead providers of this contract, working in partnership with our WDP colleagues to deliver services and treatment to the most complex service users in Camden
Ensuring clear referral pathways between the other services in Camden is paramount and that the service user islinked into the appropriate servicein a no wrong door model .
Main duties of the job
Working as a member of a multidisciplinary Substance Misuse Team in a Complex Needs Service the post holder will be responsible for providing individual assessment identified clinical interventions and direct care to service users with substance misuse and mental health problems.
We are looking for someone who has an interest in working within substance misuse who can be a valuable addition to our team

Person Specification Education/Qualifications Essential
- Registered Nurse
- Level 2 Safeguarding Children or Safeguarding Vulnerable Adults certificate
- Previous experience of working in mental health or a substance misuse setting
- To demonstrate a sound knowledge base in relation to factors that cause mental illness or addictions and preferred treatment methods
- An awareness of current research and evidence based practice within the setting
- To demonstrate an understanding of the management of the physical health needs of people with mental health or substance addictions problems.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skill
- Able to work as part of a team
- Demonstrable understanding and experience of utilising a variety of assessment
