Are you an OD specialist with significant experience in influencing, motivating and negotiating with a range of stakeholders? Are you an excellent communicator able to engage with staff at all levels?

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Organisational Development Lead to support the transition of the clinical teams across UHBW and NBT into single services.

The role involves planning and engaging with individuals across both organisations to bring teams together with minimal disruption to their services.

This is a full time fixed term position for 12 months. The post-holder will be located within the Acute Provider Collaborative (APC) team in Trust Headquarters, at both NBT & UHBW, providing expert OD advice on all aspects of the group model.

Main duties of the job

The post holder will be instrumental in supporting the delivery of the Joint Clinical strategy, bringing the teams together to ensure they continue to deliver their services seamlessly and with minimal disruption during the transition.

The main role responsibilities include but are not limited to:

- Acting as an OD consultant delivering team building and intervention solutions

- Provide KPI and other data relevant to the culture of the organisation

- Reporting to the APC governance meetings

- Leading on the recognition framework across the teams

- Developing evaluation models to ensure the successful integration of services

Person Specification

Education and qualifications


  • Master's degree in a supporting subject or equivalent level of significant experience at specialist level..
  • Expertise in Organisational Development through proven track record of culture change in large scale organisation.


  • NHS experience.

Knowledge and Experience


  • Demonstrated experience of co-ordinating projects and programmes in complex and challenging environments.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of culture and OD principles, techniques and tools.
  • Experience of achieving objectives through working with stakeholders and services to achieve organisational results/KPI.
  • Detailed knowledge of maintaining confidentiality and implementing data protection legislation requirements including information governance.


  • Knowledge and experience of data and information analysis, collation and summation and ability to apply this in the appropriate manner.

Skills and Abilities


  • Highly skilled at influencing, motivating and negotiating with a broad range of stakeholders.
  • Skilled at overcoming barriers to engagement/collaboration when potentially complex, sensitive or contentious information/data/perceptions are involved.
  • Excellent IT skills.
