We are looking for an e Roster manager to lead and manage the e Roster team at Salisbury Hospital to help us continue delivering a high quality e Roster service providing support and guidance to staff and managers across the Trust. Ensuring that the e Roster system is used effectively across the organisation. The e Roster manager will also ensure that the system is maintained, updated and optimised to maximise performance to meet the needs of the Trust.

We are looking for someone who can lead and manage the roll-out and implementation of the e roster system across the Trust. Supporting the Trust to ensure optimal staffing levels and effective workforce deployment through the efficient use of the e-rostering system.

Main duties of the job

Some of the main duties for this role are:

To lead and manage SFT's e Roster team.

To lead and manage the roll out of e Roster for both medics and Agenda for Change staff across the Trust.

To help deliver high quality e Roster support and guidance to staff and managers.

Engage with key stakeholders to promote the use of e Roster.

Strive to increase levels of attainment.

Education, Qualifications and Training

Essential

  • Educated to degree level in a relevant area of academic practice or equivalent experience working at this grade band/level
  • Strong understanding of electronic rostering systems and their application in a healthcare setting, underpinned by knowledge and practical experience


Desirable

  • Project management / change management skills


Knowledge and Skills

Essential

  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Able to work independently, making autonomous decisions and judgements at an advanced level
  • Ability to analyse data and generate meaningful reports
  • Ability to develop effective professional relationships with a range of staff from other departments
  • Collaborative approach and ability to work effectively with diverse teams
  • Strong leadership qualities


Experience

Essential

  • Proven leadership and management experience
  • Evidence of managing and prioritising own workload and supervising that of others
  • Experience of managing projects or programmes within set timescale and budget
  • To be highly motivational and act as a role model and lead others to develop and change
  • Conducting appraisals for team, giving feedback and able to set realistic developmental opportunities
  • Experience in workforce planning, staff rostering, or a related field, preferably within the NHS
  • Ongoing personal and professional development
  • Awareness of local policies in order to ensure these are embedded in the rostering interface


Desirable

  • Experience of RL Datix Allocate software
  • Experience with specific e-rostering software used within the NHS
