Midwives - Berwick and Alnwick.
Full time and Part time hours would be considered.
We are seeking a highly motivated, experienced dynamic midwives to join our team who are passionate about delivering high, quality care, along with achieving the highest possible patient experience. This is a continuity, case loading model to deliver the Better Births vision.The North Northumberland Bright Horizons midwifery team, has 2 bases Hillcrest, Alnwick and Berwick , there are Full or Part time hours available for each base, however on call will be required to cover both Hillcrest, Alnwick and Berwick.
Main duties of the job
There is an on call commitment to support low risk births in North Northumberland maternity units/home however as part of the continuity model, opportunity will be given for you to attend Northumbria SpecialistEmergency care hospital with women from your caseload for planned care. This will provide excellent opportunities to develop and maintain your all round experience in a progressive environment.
You should be able to demonstrate good communication skills, have a flexible approach to care and working practices as well as being sensitive to women's needs and choices.

We manage three major locality hospitals at North Tyneside, Wansbeck and Hexham, plus a number of smaller community hospitals and clinics from Tynemouth to Berwick on Tweed, in addition to our state-of-the-art Northumbria Specialist Emergency Care Hospital, the first of its kind in England. We also care for people in their homes and provide services from facilities in local communities such as health centres. We give people greater choice and control over their care to help them to live independently at home and avoid hospital admission where appropriate. Further education is encouraged, including support to attend relevant courses to maintain personal and professional development to meet service needs. We offer a comprehensive in-house training package as well as having strong links with local Universities and take great pride in the excellent preceptorship package which we offer to our newly qualified midwives.
