What we're seeking:A minimum of 5 years as a Project Manager.Over three years of experience in the healthcare sector and ideally delivered genomics projects.Proven track record of successfully delivering projects.Exceptional communication skills.You have demonstrated leadership ability and expertise in matrix management.A PRINCE2 practitioner level qualification.As the Senior Project Manager, you'll not only lead projects but also play a pivotal role in developing the professional skills of our team. Main duties of the job

The post-holder will be responsible for managing the development and delivery of a number of strategic clinical initiatives, including, but not limited to:o The programme of work that will deliver refreshed clinical technologies to laboratories across the Trust. This consists of a complex set of sub-projects, supported by an experienced subject matter expert. You will report activity, progress, risk and issues to appropriate project and programme boards.o The development and delivery of a process of a technology refresh programme for clinical laboratory technology, mainly Genomics portfolio of projectso Technology and business projects as required by the Genomics programme teamo The post-holder will be responsible for delivering projects on time, to budget and to agreed quality standards that meet business needs. The appointee will liaise with the key stakeholders from the business and the Digital Diagnostics Programme, working closely with other Programme and Project Managers and Workstream Leads.o The post-holder will be expected to play an integral role in the planning Ongoing Genomics programme Delivery Roadmap and Prioritisation, with an emphasis on the delivery of the initiatives that will support the long-term objectives for diagnostic services across the Trust.

Responsible for the effective delivery of key strategic Genomic & Pathology programmes. For all your projects, deliver in full compliance with the Trusts PMO framework. Ensure delivery of key elements against agreed milestones, budget and timelines with demonstration of success, outcomes measure and key performance indicators. Responsible for maintaining the project planning, including project reporting, monthly highlight reports, updating the risk logs, producing exception reports and ensuring that all work remains on target to deliver agreed objective. Ability to work as part of a larger team and when required independently. Supports and enforces the departments strategic vision and delivers projects to support the RMH Genomics Roadmap. Work with Project Board and end users to design changes in working practices which comply with the functionality of the system being implemented and to offer solutions to risks associated with processes. Work with leadership to ensure that business needs and prioritisation is met

Education / Qualifications

Essential

  • Educated to degree level or equivalent experience
  • Prince 2 Practitioner level


Desirable

  • MSP qualified
  • ITIL qualified
