A senior rotational neurology rehabilitation physiotherapist participating as a member of the physiotherapy team independently managing a clinical caseload with the support of senior clinicians.
The post holder will complete a rotational programme through various neurological rehabilitation clinical specialities, which is designed to consolidate their rotational experience and to further develop their independent clinical practice and supervisory skills.
The length of these rotations will be 6 months however this may be varied to meet the needs of the service.
The successful applicant will be actively involved in the education, supervision and mentoring of Band 5 Physiotherapists and physiotherapy undergraduate students.
Main duties of the job
Aneurin Bevan University Health Board (ABUHB) covers a wide geographical area and is well situated to allow easy transport links to the various cities along the M4 corridor, the beautiful surrounding countryside including the Brecon Beacons National Park and the South Wales coastline.
We are looking for self-motivated, forward thinking clinicians who are strong team players with the ability to demonstrate leadership qualities and excellent communication skills to join our Neuro POD Band 6 Rotation. You will need to be able to demonstrate equivalent transferable experience and knowledge in a variety of specialities and clinical settings.
The rotational post will rotate through a range of Neuro specialities on a 6 monthly basis. Rotations include HASU, Stroke Rehabilitation, CNRS, Complex Care, Neurology Outpatients and Medical rehabilitation wards.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
