You will have excellent communication, interpersonal and organisational skills and your work will ensure that the department continues to deliver a high quality, timely and effective service, where patient experience and safety is central.

Appointment will require the post-holder hold a Specialist Diploma or an equivalent level of post registration experience to demonstrate you are flexible and highly organised, able to align your values with those of the organisation and able to work as part of a team with a 'can-do' positive attitude.

Experience of Quality Management, Health & Safety and Quality Improvement will be advantageous.

About us

The central Histology laboratory service is situated on the Royal Hampshire Hospital site in Winchester with a small satellite team based at the Basingstoke & North Hampshire Hospital.

The post holders will work routinely as part of the team based at the Royal Hampshire County Hospital with a commitment at the Basingstoke site as part of the BMS rotational team to lead the team and perform frozen section and OSNA techniques, once training where required is in place.
