Bluebird House is one of six Forensic Children’s mental health units in the country and one of only two that accept both male and female patients.
We offer a fun and dynamic environment where we prioritise the best outcomes for the young people we care for.
You will have the opportunity to work with some of the most complex 12-18 year olds in the country who experience diverse mental health difficulties and challenging behaviour.
Many of the young people we help have experienced previous placements breakdown, prior to being admitted to Bluebird. We always ensure we spend a lot of time building a relationship with all of our young people by providing a safe, controlled environment. We put our all in to everything.
Due to our continued success we are currently in the process of opening an additional, new, ward to enable us to offer more help and support to more of our young people. You care for them, we care for you….
We understand how important work life balance is and we know happy staff makes for outstanding care. Let us know if you require flexible working and we will always do our best to accommodate you.
As a staff nurse you will develop, implement and evaluate care plans in conjunction with service users, carers and other professionals ensuring individual needs are met. You will carry out all relevant forms of care and will be designated to take charge of a ward in the absence of a charge nurse. Come and join a team where you will not go unnoticed We can’t wait to meet you!
