We are seeking a Registered Nursewho hasexperiencein Plastic Surgery orother relevantwound caresetting.This is a challenging but rewarding role, therefore you need to be enthusiastic, motivated and eager to learn and develop yourself. You will be joining a large, dedicated multi-disciplinary team who are devoted to improving wound care.

Main duties of the job

Do you have excellent communication and problem solving skills, a friendly and approachable nature and a willingness to learn new skills? Then consider joining the team in the Burns & Plastics Outpatient department working across Wythenshawe, Withington and Altrincham Hospitals.

Person Specification



  • UK fully registered NMC Registered Nurse (Adult)


  • Diploma
  • Mentorship/Teaching qualification



  • Current Nursing issues
  • Knowledge of clinical governance
  • IT/ Word Processing.
  • Knowledge and skills of wound care


  • Knowledge of Plastic Surgery.

Training & Experience


  • Experience of working on own and as part of a team
  • Ability to supervise and support junior staff.
  • Evidence of teaching and assessing skills/ability
  • Awareness of clinical audit.
  • Experience in outpatient setting.
  • Experience in wound care in other relevant setting.


  • Evidence of undertaking a mentor/preceptor role.
  • Experience in Plastic Surgery nursing.
