This is an exciting new role heading up an established team with new responsibilities. Sitting in the People Analytics & Systems team at the heart of Homerton Healthcare within the People Directorate this post is a fantastic opportunity to progress your career. We're looking for someone keen to take on their next challenge in a People department within the NHS. Ideally you have had experience in a recruitment, People Administration or ESR support role and are ready to lead a small and busy team.

We also offer an exciting place to be working in hybrid working is encouraged, and whilst in the office you will be based in our Corporate and Community Hub, at 6 Orsman Road - an exciting new working space. We have a modern and bright office area with floor to ceiling windows overlooking the canal as well as shared spaces for all building users to make use of including a communal lounge, dining space and roof terrace area.

Main duties of the job

This role covers the transactional ESR and People functions including:
  • ESR support for employees and managers
  • People Administration
  • Supporting with advice around maternity, paternity and shared parental leave
  • Supporting with annual leave entitlement for our people
  • Ensuring the new starters are accurately and appropriately entered onto the system
  • Supporting ongoing improvement of the Transactional ESR & People service through the development, management and implementation of e-Forms
  • Working as part of a broader People Team ensuring cross cover within the team and that corporate responsibilities are met.
  • Delivering a high performing smartcard service

You will be leading a team of three ESR & People Support officers, providing advice and support as well as working across the People Analytical & Systems teams providing cross cover and support to the Analytical and Reporting team.
