An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Neurosciences Directorate at Cambridge University Hospital NHS Foundation Trust.

You will ensure the smooth running of all aspects of patient flow for the directorate by providing a single point of access for elective and emergency activity. You will have a particular focus on daily admissions for neurosurgical elective surgery and bed management for all neurosciences including stroke and rehabilitation.

You must demonstrate the desire to learn and good interpersonal and organisational skills for the role.

Qualifications

Essential

  • Educated to degree level or NVQ level 4 or equivalent
  • Customer Service/ Business Admin /ITQ or equivalent professional experience


Desirable

  • Team leader/management qualification
  • Typing qualification or equivalent experience


Experience

Essential

  • Experience Of managing staff /a busy clerical/office environment
  • Prioritising, planning and organising own and others tasks
  • Experience of dealing with difficult situations and confrontations
  • Data entry experience and documentation


Desirable

  • Previous experience of working in NHS
  • Experience/exposure to/of NHS hospital operations, flow, pressures
  • Previous experience of working with medical records
