Are you interested in specialising in Gastroenterology? Almroth Wright is an established busy 15 single room Gastroenterology ward. We are steadily building our nursing team and require committed Band 5 nurses to complete the establishment.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for Band 5 Nurses to join our established Almroth Wright nursing team. We are seeking experienced or newly qualified Nurses who are enthusiastic and passionate about providing high quality care in Gastroenterology care.

The ward cares for patients with a range of needs often with multiple conditions, meaning the work is often challenging but always rewarding. We have an establishment of a ward matron and three charge nurses to lead the team. We work closely with the Upper GI, Lower GI and specialist nurses, members of the multi-disciplinary support team and Consultants. We pride ourselves on working closely with relatives and carers, the discharge team and the community to ensure that our patients' needs are met on discharge.

You will be flexible with the ability to motivate others and have the ability to work within a team, with patient experience at the heart of your care delivery. You will have the opportunity to develop yourself via our Band 5 development programme, with the support of the Clinical Practice Educator.

  • To provide high quality, effective, individualised care to all patients that is compassionate and caring.
  • To assess care needs and develop, implement and evaluate them without supervision
  • To keep up to date with skills and knowledge
