Do you wish to be part of a growing supportive and innovative team that works across Essex in Children's Eating Disorders? If so, an exciting opportunity for a Band 8B Principal Therapist role has arisen to join the growing team within SET CAMHS Eating Disorder Team
NELFT has 3 Specialist Eating Disorders Services: in London, Kent and Essex. Strong links exist between the three services with reciprocal supervision arrangements to complement learning and development between all three services.
The post holder for the Essex Children's Eating Disorders Service will be responsible for the clinical management of the Southend, Essex and Thurrock-wide. The team work closely with the operational manager and being accountable for the clinical delivery and development of a comprehensive SET CAMHS eating disorders service. The post holder will promote and develop effective relationships with key partners, especially the local authority, GP's, voluntary sector organisations, commissioners and other statutory agencies.
Main duties of the job
This role would suit an experienced, qualified Clinical Psychologist, Family Therapist or Child and Adolescent Psychotherapist and requires significant knowledge and experience to provide leadership and clinical oversight for the service, working together with the team manager.
Main duties:
The post holder is expected to work well within a team setting however should be able to deliver an autonomous service as part of the role, operating within recognised professional guidelines and the overall framework of the eating disorder service's policies and procedures.
The post holder will be part of a well-established and supportive psychological therapies service who will be expected to participate in supervision and CPD focused on evidence-based interventions in eating disorders. This includes providing monthly supervision and practice development groups in Family Interventions in addition to individual supervision.

Starting with NELFT
NELFT place a great deal of importance on new starters being properly welcomed and inducted into the Trust. All new starters will join the Trust on the first Monday of each month and will undertake a comprehensive induction of up to two weeks which will include mandatory training, systems training and the allocation of equipment. As part of the process, new starters will have the opportunity to also meet the executive team, senior managers and attend a number of drop in sessions focusing in engagement, health and wellbeing and key processes. The induction will be held at our head office in Rainham, Essex.

- Successful completion of a post-graduate training in psychological practice (e.g. psychologist, family therapist, child and adolescent psychotherapist)
