If you are looking for an exciting new challenge Lancashire & South Cumbria NHS Foundation Trust (LSCFT) which is a Specialist Mental Health and Community NHS Foundation Trust, is the place for you.

We are currently looking to recruit a Capital Project Manager on a permanent basis.

The post holder will be based at Guild Park, Goosnargh.

Main duties of the job

The post holder will be responsible for working with key stakeholders on the planning and delivery of selected projects across the business, including but not limited to minor and major capital development, commissioning, de-commissioning and procurement.

The Capital Project Manager will provide expert advice, guidance and leadership at a corporate level on capital projects and minor works to the Board as well as supporting with all elements of improvement works. Working closely with clinical and non-clinical leads, the post holder will oversee the project works, with the requirements of relevant Health & Safety related legislation and Trust policies and guidance specifically related to the buildings.

Person Specification



  • Qualified with a relevant degree or equivalent experiential learning.
  • Project Management qualifications (e.g. Prince 2 / Microsoft Project) or equivalent experience



  • Knowledge of Construction Processes, methods and procurement
  • Knowledge of Health & Safety / Risk Management/ CDM's
  • Construction contract knowledge



  • Experience of Microsoft Word and Excel or equivalent
  • Experience of Microsoft Project, Outlook, PowerPoint or equivalent
  • Previous budgetary monitoring experience



  • Confidently chairs and participates in meetings
  • Demonstrates ability to successfully negotiate
  • Demonstrates the ability to influence decision making
