The post holder will be a key member of the Divisional Senior Management Team, responsible for supporting the Director of Midwifery with the development and delivery of clinical and professional Midwifery and Nursing care within the WACH division at SASH. The post holder will also be accountable for all standards of CNST, SBLCB v3, CQC, Single delivery Plan (SDP) and all other regulatory standards within the division. The post holder will also prepare reports, lead meetings and present papers at key meetings such as all regulatory maternity meetings, governance meetings both internal and external such as the LMNS.

The post-holder will lead in the embedding of the Trust culture of continuous improvement within maternity services to ensure that the service meets all national maternity standards and recommendations within the compliance timescale.

They will lead the development of processes to ensure effective project management, assurance reporting and evidence collation is embedded at all levels of the service. The post-holder will also support the division with all compliance reporting and assurance provision to relevant external authorities. They will also provide a visible, accessible, and authoritative presence that takes responsibility for the functioning and oversight of the division's change programme to meet all new relevant standards. They will ensure that evidence files are accessible to and appropriately maintained by relevant staff.
