An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Spinal Surgery service at NNUH for a Consultant Physiotherapist. The post holder would lead on introducing a new triage system for patient referrals, leading a small team of extended scope physiotherapists and work closely with the consultants.

With significant investment into developing a new standalone Norfolk & Norwich Orthopaedic Centre (NANOC) for elective surgical patients, the Orthopaedic and Spinal Services have introduced the latest surgical and technological advancements for patients who undergoing surgery.

Main duties of the job

The AHP Consultant in Spinal Surgery will use advanced clinical skills to assess, diagnose, and manage neuro-muscular-skeletal disorders. The postholder will take a lead role in outpatient clinics and participate in research, teaching, and leadership activities to enhance patient outcomes for spinal MSK issues. The role requires a strategic approach to service development, clinical leadership, and the promotion of evidence-based practice.
