ICT Services comprises of a multidisciplinary team of professional staff concerned with providing a wide range of services in information, knowledge management, computing and telecommunications.The aim of the service is to be 'The Best ICT Service in the NHS' and the post holder is required to contribute to this competence.

These roles are primarily dedicated to supporting the delivery of Nottingham University Hospitals' (NUH) new Nervecentre Electronic Patient Record (EPR) programme. A minimum of 70% of your time will be allocated to tasks and activities related to the EPR implementation and rollout. Additionally, when feasible and with approval from your line manager, you may have the opportunity to support other Nervecentre EPR deployments within the East Midlands region. This will allow for valuable knowledge sharing and hands-on experience by spending time at other deployment sites.

Main duties of the job

The post holder is a member of the Digital Services Application Management Team and will be responsible for the implementation and ongoing support to new and existing clinical IT systems and the associated change control and configuration processes.The post holder will be based at: QMC and City Campuses.

Person Specification

Training & Qualifications


  • Educated to A level or equivalent experience or training.
  • Trained in IT patient systems Achieved an IT computer qualification (ECDL or equivalent).


  • PRINCE 2 foundation level
  • Microsoft Project qualification or training



  • Detailed knowledge and awareness of users of ICT across the NHS.
  • Has experience of working with teams and individuals from both technical and non-technical backgrounds to solve IT problems.



  • Customer focused and able to create, build and maintain relationships.

Planning & Organisation


  • Is able to work both as an individual using own initiative and as a team member, prioritising workloads for self and others
