An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Band 7 Early Years Nutrition Co-ordinator, working across Hywel Dda UHB.
This is a part-time job share permanent post working 18.75 hours.
Main duties of the job
This post is primarily focused on infant feeding support and training for the Health Visiting workforce. It will include the co-ordination and support of the Baby Friendly Champions in each County.
The Health Visiting Service has recently been successful in gaining re-accreditation with the Baby Friendly Initiative Standards and the post holder will take the lead role in maintaining our accreditation.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.

- Registered Nurse/ Midwife
- Specialist Community Public Health Nurse (Health Visiting)
- Knowledge of current Health Visiting issues
- Completion of UNICEF BFI Breastfeeding and Relationship Building (Health Visitors) or equivalent
- Knowledge of current government legislation relating to early years nutrition and the obesity agenda
- Knowledge of BFI Standards
- Knowledge of safeguarding procedures
Desirable
- Teaching qualification or experience
- Breastfeeding counsellor qualification or equivalent
- Masters Degree/ specialised short courses/ experience to Master's level equivalency
