We have a fantastic opportunity to join our growing and developing Echocardiography Department as a Band 7 Highly Specialised Physiologist.
University Hospitals of Leicester is made up of three hospitals located around the county. Glenfield Hospital is a tertiary Cardiology referral centre providing specialised Cardiology services to Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland. Smaller satellite Cardiac Investigations departments are located at Leicester Royal Infirmary and Leicester General Hospital.
As a tertiary cardiac centre, we provide echocardiography support to a wide range of specialties including cardiothoracic surgery, interventional cardiology, TAVI, electrophysiology procedures, inherited cardiac conditions, heart failure, cardio-oncology and cardiac rhythm management. Additionally, we provide an Echo service to 3 intensive care units and a large CCU.

We have recently achieved BSE departmental accreditation in transthoracic, transesophageal and stress echo as well as training.
All applicants will be expected to have BSc Clinical Physiology or equivalent. HCPC registration or RCCP registration (or eligibility to join) is essential. Full BSE accreditation (or European equivalent) is also an essential criterion.
