An exciting opportunity has arisen for a driven and enthusiastic Clinical Nurse Specialist with oncology experience to join our dynamic and innovative team of healthcare professionals rehabilitating those with persistent pain arising from Complex Cancer Late Effects (CCLERs).
This is an excellent opportunity to join a national 'condition specific' service with an international profile that provides highly specialised rehabilitation on an out-patient and residential basis led by, Julie Russell, Head of Services. You will be joining an interdisciplinary team that includes Occupational Therapists, Physiotherapists, Psychology and a Pain Consultant based at the F18, Brownsword Building @ the Royal United Hospital, Bath.
The post provides an opportunity to advance skills in the management of adult patients, requiring rehabilitation following treatment for cancer and lead developments in the residential functional rehabilitation programme that forms the core, to the service.
This post will suit a highly skilled Nurse Specialist with oncology expertise, wishing to advance their skills in the management of adult patients, requiring rehabilitation, following treatment for cancer.

Main duties of the job
To support Clinical Service Lead in the delivery of a clinically effective, high quality service
o To have responsibility for the nursing component of the clinical case load for new referrals into these services
o To provide specific clinical input in terms of face to face and telephone assessment, triage, advice, and education
o To co-ordinate caseload management across the services working with, patients, primary and secondary care clinical colleagues and relevant external bodies
o To liaise with other team members regarding all outpatients and inpatient activity relating to the services
o To play a key role in the development of cancer rehabilitation services for other patient groups
o To contribute and work as part of the MDT within the Pain Speciality
