We have an exciting opportunity for a highly skilled and experienced healthcare professional to join our Community Hospital team as a Matron, within the East IHC.
You will work closely within a team of Matrons, providing leadership and responsibility for the management of designated Community Hospital inpatient wards. Many of our Community Hospitals have outpatients departments, which you will also be clinically responsible for overseeing.
We are looking for an individual who has experience of working in a senior role or a previous leadership role within an inpatient, acute or community setting. You will be motivated and passionate about working in the role of Matron, providing excellent patient centred care. You will be a professional role model, demonstrating flexibility, visibility, and excellent communication skills to patients, families, staff and play a key role in influencing and supporting wider strategic drivers. You will have the ability to work as a team leader whilst retaining a key leadership role within the East IHC Community Services Team.

Main duties of the job
Our aim within Community Hospitals is to provide an outstanding rehabilitation service that is based on meeting the needs of the patient, as close to home as possible and within a timely manner.
You will require proven skills and working knowledge of leading and an ability to demonstrate excellent communication skills.There will be an expectation to lead across diverse team, collaborating closely with other organisations, demonstrating excellent inter- personal and communication skills with the ability to forge and maintain relationships with a variety of clinical and non-clinical staff
It would be desirable for applicants to have experience at working at senior level within multidisciplinary teams who are keen to enhance change and provide visible inspiration.
You will be expected to provide leadership and direction to a number of team leads, in order to develop and enhance excellent standards of patient care.The roles focus will be on service improvement, ensuring high standards of quality and safety and provision of visible leadership to the geographical teams
You will require a high level of organisational skill and have a resourceful and professional approach to work.The role will also include being part of the 7 day community matron of the day role on a rota basis.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
