We are seeking a motivated and experienced Nurse who holds the SPQDN and clinical skills to work within our integrated Primary Care Hub, covering South Bedfordshire (Dunstable and Leighton Buzzard).

This newly developed post will work alongside our current Induction Nurse helping to support newly appointed nurses into post, ensuring a robust induction into their role and competency sign off. The post holder will also be responsible for ensuring the wider teams competencies are also up to date and reviewed periodically. This is a friendly, dedicated and supportive team where professional guidance is readily available. The successful candidate will be expected to support in the absence of the Primary Care at Home Manager or Team Lead's.

Person Specification

Education

Essential

  • Registered General Nurse
  • Educated to Masters level or equivalent
  • Post-registration qualification in District Nursing
  • Demonstrable evidence of significant post-registration nursing experience, including in a community setting


Desirable

  • Independent Prescriber


Other

Essential

  • Willing to work to meet the needs of the service (to include evenings, weekends and bank holidays).
  • Ability to travel throughout Bedfordshire and access to a car for work purposes


Experience

Essential

  • Demonstrate evidence-based practice and up-to-date clinical skills
  • Experience of clinical leadership
  • Extensive experience of complex assessment of health and social needs.
  • Ability to oversee multiple caseloads and monitor quality.


Desirable

  • Relevant teaching/mentoring qualification and evidence of teaching skills

  • Evidence of and commitment to multi-professional working
