Main duties of the job

The successful applicant will be based at Kendal or Lancaster (this is negotiable) and will work closely with the team leads to provide bay wide care within people's homes, outpatient clinics and remotely via telehealth.

We are looking for an experienced speech and language therapist with the required clinical knowledge and skills to work autonomously with patients within both dysphagia and communication.

The successful applicant will be joining a friendly and supportive team who are dedicated to providing person centred, high quality patient care.

As a team we also work closely with the acute therapists to share our knowledge and experiences and to support our patients throughout their health journey.

This post will provide an opportunity to further build on leadership skills and regularly contribute to service development.

There are extensive training and CPD opportunities available both external and in-house, which you will be supported to complete during protected time in work. Additionally, we have bi-monthly meetings for whole-team clinical supervision and service developments.

You will be responsible for supervision of band 5 SLTs, SLT assistants, and students and have opportunity to participate in service development and training within the wider acute team.
