This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced dietitian to work in an expanding community-based service to support children and young people with a learning or physical disability in Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly.

We are looking for a highly motivated, confident dietitian who would like to work alongside multi-professional and multiagency colleagues to deliver a clinical dietetic service to disabled children with eating and drinking problems. The post holder will also work with the team on the roll out of a new, innovative education and training programme for professionals working with selective eaters.

We are willing to consider recruiting to a Band 5 training position for the right candidate. This would be an exciting opportunity for those wishing to move into the paediatric specialty without existing experience.

Please clearly specify in your application if you will be applying for the Band 5 or Band 6 role.

Main duties of the job

This post will involve the dietitian working with children and young people and their families, groups, schools, communities and with carers across the age range from birth to 18 years old. The therapy and training will be delivered both virtually and face to face within the local community. Our service is committed to student training, quality improvement, research and audit and we pride ourselves on our commitment to continuing professional development. There is also an active role in delivering Steps To Eating Program (STEP) and supporting DAPs and Techs.

This could be an exciting opportunity for those wishing to move into the paediatric speciality without existing experience. Training and support would be provided for the right candidate.
