An exciting opportunity has arisen for experienced, enthusiastic and committed health professional to join the Safeguarding Children Team at Frimley Health NHS Foundation Trust as Deputy Named Nurse Safeguarding Adults.
The post holder will have operational leadership responsibility for safeguarding Adults ensuring that structures, systems and processes are in place across the Trust and will report into the Named Nurse for Safeguarding Adults and Head of Safeguarding and vulnerable patients.
Main duties of the job
Be highly visible and accessible to Frimley Health NHS Foundation Trust (Trust) staff, including the executive lead and senior leadership teams. This includes, providing sound expert safeguarding advice, support and clinical expertise to Trust staff in all areas of safeguarding adults, Mental Capacity Act and Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards/Liberty Protection Safeguards.
To act as a role model demonstrating effective leadership and political awareness daily and promote Trust values.
To liaise internally with wards/departments, as well as externally with Local Safeguarding Partnership Boards, Integrated Care Boards and other agencies, in order to lead on the development of safeguarding adult practice
To foster a culture of prevention, early and accurate identification and management of safeguarding concerns for the organisation to ensure it appropriately discharges and fulfils its safeguarding responsibilities.

Job responsibilities
- The post holder will provide expert advice and support on a daily basis to staff working across the Trust on all aspects of safeguarding. This will include highly complex, difficult and emotive situations.
- In collaboration with Lead Named Nurses, develop and ensure effective safeguarding and processes are in place within the Trust for information sharing, training, safeguarding supervision and support.
- Provide professional leadership, consultancy, advice, risk assessment and safeguarding practice to both the Safeguarding Adult Team and Trust staff
- To be responsible for the development, implementation and review of Trust safeguarding policies and procedures to ensure compliance with national bodies and best practice.
- Contribute to relevant Local Safeguarding Partnership Board meetings and represent the Trust at relevant safeguarding multi-agency forums/sub-groups.
- Lead on matters relating to safeguarding adults to ensure the Trust fulfils its responsibilities for safeguarding adults, for example, new Government guidance or legislative change relating to safeguarding adults

- Registered NMC Nurse/Midwife, Public health Practitioner
- Relevant Post Registration training in Safeguarding adults, MCA and DoLs
- Educated to Degree Level
- Educated/working towards master's level in relevant subject
Desirable
- Accredited teaching or training qualification
- Level 4 safeguarding training

- Articulates with highly developed interpersonal communication and presentation skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and peers
