We are offering an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic, self-motivated Clinical Technologist or Radiographer to join our small, but friendly team providing a Bone Densitometry (DXA) service for Bradford and the surrounding districts.
The department is currently open Monday to Friday from 8.30am to 5pm and there will be some flexibility as to how the working hours of this post sit within this period.
The department has a brand-new state of the art DXA scanner.
Main duties of the job
The DXA scanner is based in St Luke's Hospital and currently carries out osteoporosis screening on around 4,000 patients per annum.
The key responsibilities of this post are to carry out all routine aspects of bone densitometry scanning, processing results, and assisting the section head with the implementation of service developments. The post holder may also undertake report generation as part of this role. Experience in reporting DXA scans would be advantageous. Once familiar with routine scanning, the successful applicant would undertake training to be able to report DXA scans.
