We are looking to recruit highly motivated nurses/ODPs who are passionate about the care of patients to join our recovery team in Ipswich hospital. The role will be working in both the existing recovery unit, the new theatre recovery suite and our brand new Post-Operative Care Unit (POCU).
This is an excellent opportunity to join a friendly team who are motivated in promoting the delivery of patient-centred, clinically effective and dynamic service to our patients.
Do you possess excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to work confidently and collaboratively across professional boundaries? Are you keen and motivated to learn? If so, then your skills are invaluable to us and we would like to hear from you.
Main duties of the job
In this post you will deliver excellent and individualised care to our patients, and you will be fully supported to achieve this through our comprehensive educational strategy.
Depending on your level of experience, you will develop your competence and confidence through a program of supervised practice, Post-Operative and Recovery specific competencies and a series of development days.
You will work within a Clinical Specialist team and contribute to activities and projects with a goal of professional and practice development. POCU is a new, developing service within the Trust and we are fully committed to offering the appropriate support, guidance and training of our staff to offer our patients the extended care they need post surgery. There are a number of development opportunities such as the Degree top-up, Anaesthetic course and ALS/ILS/PILS.
In this role you will be expected to undertake internal rotation of shifts.
