RMCH Theatres are the leading provider of paediatric tertiary and specialist healthcare services in Manchester and treat more than a million patients every year. Our Theatre Department consists of nine operating theatres, a Minor Procedures Unit and ten post anaesthetic recovery bays. Within our theatres, we provide highly specialised elective care including Renal Transplantation, Spinal, Neurosurgical, Burns & Plastics, Neonatal, Thoracic, Complex ENT, Trauma & Orthopaedics.

Main duties of the job

Working as an ODP within Paediatric Theatres, you'll be providing the highest standards of care and making a difference to the lives of children across Manchester and beyond. You'll provide outstanding clinical support and deliver direct care for our patients.

You will be encouraged to be involved in audits and the many IQP projects within the department as well as the training and education opportunities for all staff.

You will have the opportunity to work within all 3 areas of scrub, anaesthetics and recovery after you have consolidated all of your training and competencies.
