Hampshire CAMHS North Early Help Service are offering an exciting opportunity to join our multi-disciplinary team covering the Basingstoke area (this may expand to a larger geographical area in due course) as a band 5 Primary Mental Health Worker. A core qualification and professional registration in nursing, social work or occupational therapist is essential. You will have a knowledge of assessment and an understanding of mental health presentations in children and young people, and a systemic appreciation of the dynamics within families. Experience of working with children and young people with mental health challenges is highly desirable. This role would suit those who are newly qualified or experienced but looking for a new challenge.
The service is undergoing a period of growth and development, as we seek to expand and develop our stepped model of care for young people. You will be contributing to a comprehensive group work programme under the developing Stepped Model of intervention alongside completing CAMHS Assessments and undertaking the associated duty function and you may also have opportunities to hold a small caseload. You will be liaising with our community partners and internal and external stakeholders in the course of your work and there may be opportunities for supervision and line management responsibilities.
