Band 5 Paediatric Physio - Looking to develop your clinical leadership skills with the largest provider of community children's therapy? We pride ourselves on being ahead of the game, creating a dynamic responsive service to meet the needs of children with physical needs.
Our Children's Therapy Team are looking for an innovative, pro-active Physiotherapist who would like to develop their clinical skills across a range of areas, including neurology, neuromuscular, musculoskeletal & developmental delay. We work Mon-Fri with no evening/weekends. Previous experience of working with children desirable.

We can support you to develop your paediatric Physiotherapy clinical skills by offering:

Based in East locality of Solent NHS you would be required to work directly with children/families in a variety of settings, clinic, educational settings & home.

Main duties of the job
* To work independently, with guidance and support from senior colleagues, in community clinics, mainstream schools and specialist provisions providing a Physiotherapy Service to a variable caseload of preschool and school aged children many of whom will have special needs.
* To work in partnership with parents, school staff, and children, and in liaison with other healthcare staff and the primary care team, to deliver integrated specialised packages of care to children with a range of physical difficulties.
* To train students, other healthcare professionals and staff from other agencies who work with children with physical difficulties.

We have been working with other local NHS Trusts to create a new organisation, bringing together all community, mental health and learning disability services from across Hampshire and Isle of Wight. Subject to approvals, the aim is for the new Trust to be formed by July 2024.Project Fusion is the name for the programme to create the new combined NHS Foundation Trust. Hampshire and Isle of Wight Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust will be bringing the services into a single organisation will result in more consistent care, more equitable access to services irrespective of postcode, and a more sustainable workforce and services. The new organisation will operate locally to ensure services can best meet the needs of different communities.The new Trust will be comprised of all the services currently provided by Solent NHS Trust and Southern Health NHS Foundation Trust, the community, mental health and learning disability services provided by Isle of Wight NHS Trust and child and adolescent mental health services delivered in parts of Hampshire by Sussex Partnership NHS Foundation Trust.Colleagues will transfer to the new organisation under Transfer of Undertakings (Protection of Employment) -- known as TUPE on 1st July 2024. TUPE is a legal process to ensure you transfer out of one organisation and into another, maintaining the terms and conditions of your employment.

- Recognised Physiotherapy degree level qualification or equivalent.
- Registered member Chartered Society of Physiotherapy.
- Registered member of Health and Care Professions Council.
Experience

- Broad knowledge of experience through student placement.
- Under-graduate experience of receiving clinical supervision.
- Under-graduate experience of working in a changing environment.
- Under-graduate experience of integrated working in multi-disciplinary teams.

- Is able to legally work within the UK
- Is able to work with children or vulnerable adults.
- Ability to travel daily for meetings across a range of sites in Southampton/Portsmouth/Hampshire.
- For posts which require a professional registration, postholders hold a valid up to date registration with their professional body.
- For posts where postholders are required to drive as part of their role they hold a valid full driving licence which enables them to drive in the UK.
