The Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust includes major teaching hospitals. A wide range of equipment is used for medical work - diagnosis, monitoring, therapy and technical work - throughout its wards, theatres, andclinical departments.
The Clinical Engineering Department deliver high quality medical device maintenance repair and management services within Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust (MFT).
Main duties of the job
An opportunity has arisen for enthusiastic and motivated individuals to join the Manchester University Hospitals.
You will be mainly based at workshops at our Oxford Road Campus but will need to be flexible as you will also be working at various Hospitals and Community Sites throughout Greater Manchester.
We are looking to recruit a suitably experienced Senior Clinical Engineer to join our team providing a leading role in our improvement programme for Medical Device Management and Maintenance
Ideally you will be qualified to HNC/Degree in electronics and have a minimum of three years' post qualification experience or equivalent.
You are expected to have specialist knowledge of scientific, electronic and engineering principles along with some Quality Management Systems and Health and Safety legislation. You will need to have a logical, methodical approach to your work and a passion for medical device safety. You will need to be able to work as part of a team and have excellent leadership, interpersonal and communication skills.
Applicants with a lesser qualifications or experience may be considered for appointment at a lower grade, with the opportunity to progress subject to satisfactory review.
