A band 7 pharmacist posts is available, providing clinical cover in our dispensary, community hospitals, and mental health services across Herefordshire and Worcestershire. We provide a range of experience throughout our Trust to develop you as a pharmacist in our skilled, innovative, and caring team. You will work with a diverse range of staff and patients, so must be able to work collaboratively to deliver the highest quality of care, and to encourage the development of others, of the service and yourself.
As a pharmacist you will have knowledge of all aspects of prescribing, therapeutics, and pharmaceutical issues. It is vital that you can put patient care at the heart of your work to improve healthcare outcomes and service delivery.
Currently there are no weekend duties, bank holiday working or late nights. You may be expected to work some Saturday mornings in the future.

Main duties of the job
As a pharmacist you will be part of the team responsible for delivering a comprehensive pharmacy and medicines management service to all sites within the Trust. You will assist with risk management for the pharmacy service to the units and ensure compliance with medicines legislation and relevant policies. You will use specialised knowledge of medicines to advise medical and non-medical prescribers, nursing and pharmacy staff on all pharmaceutical aspects of care.
You will provide clinical pharmacist support to the dispensary, community hospital and mental health inpatients. To support your continued clinical development, there will be opportunities to attend relevant training/ post graduate programmes. You will be required to work independently and as part of a team and must be able to travel throughout the Trust.
