Specialist Missing Exploited Trafficked Nurse
An exciting and rare opportunity has arisen for the right candidate to lead and provide the health component in the Local Authority Willow Team in Hampshire alongside multi-agency partners. The Willow Team is a specialist multi-agency team dedicated to working with and reducing risk to children who are at the highest risk of being exploited.
The role is county wide and requires close working with a range of other professional roles including Police and Children's Services colleagues. Willow sits within the Hampshire Children's Services system and is part of the 'Front Door' MASH Service.
Based in MASH, Parkway, Fareham, you will need to be flexible in meeting the needs of the service.
You will work collaboratively alongside children, young people, and their families within an often complex and challenging caseload. You will bring excellent risk assessment skills, care planning and decision making with an experienced clinical background that understands the need to safeguard children and young people at risk of being exploited. You will be able to work within a trauma informed approach.
Main duties of the job
*To support the Willow Team Manager and other Willow colleagues in providing a health focused service for children, young people and their families with the primary focus on children being exploited
*To provide professional leadership to nursing/health colleagues within their own area of responsibility on exploitation matters.
*To design and co-deliver training and education regarding Health and child exploitation issues to a variety of professionals across the HIPS area.
*To support the manager to implement health and social care policies, procedures and the implementation of change
*To continue professional development and maintain own training records.
*To assess, plan and advise on complex challenging and high-risk cases where child exploitation is a key issue
*To be accountable and responsible in managing own complex caseload
*To develop specialised programmes of care regarding Health and CSE/Sexual health
*To actively support the service, young people and parents/carers to be involved in participation
*To provide structured supervision to junior staff
*To work within professional code of conduct, organisational policy and guidance
*To support qualified social workers to undertake S47 or S17 visits and share clinical knowledge
*To create and share intelligence (use of CPI)
*To provide support to complete network analysis and mapping

- *Registered Nurse/SCPHN/AHP
- *1st Degree
- *Evidence of ongoing professional development in safeguarding children/young people
- *Evidence of Safeguarding Children specialist qualification
- *Evidence of substantial experience of working with children/young people

- *Knowledge of National and Local Safeguarding Policies, guidelines and recommendations to include DVA CSE children and families
