We are looking for a passionate, dedicated CAMHS Speciality doctor to join our 'CQC - OUTSTANDING' service.
Somerset Foundation Trust SFT is the first trust to have Integrated Acute Medical and Surgical Specialities, Mental Health, Community and Primary care services in England.
An 8 PA Speciality Doctor in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry is now available due to the post holder moving into a higher training specialty post. The post holder will provide psychiatry input into the County Wide ADHD service.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will be part of a multidisciplinary, multi-agency team assessing and treating ADHD in children with a more complex, co morbid mental health presentation.
They will be instrumental in contributing to the service development of the ADHD County wide service and will be also able to help shape and evaluate the service. The clinical work is county wide and the post holder would have access to bookable locations across several parts of the Trust used by paediatrics and by CAMHS. Remote working with access to a Trust laptop and mobile phone will also be facilitated.
It is likely the service will create opportunities for the teaching of undergraduate medical students and doctors from CAMHS and Paediatrics.
Working as part of a multi-disciplinary team, the doctor will provide psychiatry input for children and young people who are experiencing ADHD with more complex mental health presentations.
About us
As an organisation, Somerset NHS Foundation Trust offers employees a wide range of benefits including flexible working, NHS pension scheme, generous annual leave allowance and a commitment to career development.
You will be eligible for our Blue Light Card and a wide range of NHS exclusive shopping & leisure discounts.
We are proud of our skilled, diverse workforce and as an inclusive employer we welcome applications from all backgrounds.
Working in Somerset enables you to enjoy the idyllic countryside, areas of outstanding beauty and stunning coastlines whilst still only being a stone's throw away from bustling city centres like Bristol, Bath and Exeter and only two hours away from London.
There are excellent educational facilities in the area and, when compared to other regions, house prices are reasonable.
Somerset offers the countryside and the cosmopolitan - there is truly something for everyone!
