The department of Otolaryngology are looking for a motivated individual to join their team in Swansea. This is a replacement post joining a busy ENT Department. As one of our Specialty doctors you will be based at Morriston Hospital Swansea, with sessions undertaken at other sites within our LHB.
Your duties will include outpatient clinics sessions, day case lists, general anaesthetic lists and provision of on-call cover.
Main duties of the job
This is a 10 session post with additional sessions for on calls TBC. The on call will be 1:5 which is supplemented. The successful applicant may be suitable to undertake second on call duties appropriate to previous experience and will certainly be encouraged to contribute to our educational programme.
You will have responsibility for the care of patients in your charge and be available to provide advice and to either treat or arrangement treatment of those patients for whom it is appropriate and necessary.
This is a non training grade post but you will have opportunity to attend relevant teaching and participate in audit and quality Improvement projects where possible subject to the needs of the service.

- Full GMC Registration
- Minimum of four years in the registrar or staff grade and / or specialty doctor grade, at least two of which have been in the appropriate specialtyOr as fixed-term specialty trainee in a relevant specialtyOR equivalent experience/competencies

- Certification or instructor status in ATLS, ALS, APLS, EPLS, MIMMS
- Further relevant degree/diploma/teaching qualification

- Evidence of working effectively as a part of a multidisciplinary team

- Liaison with other agencies
