Person Specification

Knowledge

Essential

  • Up to date Clinical knowledge of clinical and professional practice in upper limb orthopaedics and hand therapy and in splinting and cast bracing


Desirable

  • Awareness of local, regional and national healthcare priorities.


Qualifications

Essential

  • Graduate Diploma or Degree in Occupational Therapy or Physiotherapy State Registration


Further Training

Essential

  • Attendance at postgraduate courses relevant to upper limb orthopaedics and hand therapy Clinical educator training


Desirable

  • Leadership training


Experience

Essential

  • Experience on a junior rotation Rotation in MSk hands and upper limb


Desirable

  • Experience of clinical supervision of occupational therapy students
