Are you an experienced leader with a passion for healthcare administration? We are seeking a dedicated Line Manager to support and manage our secretarial and administration teams.

Join our dynamic team to ensure robust and effective pathway processes that achieve and maintain local and national performance targets.

Skills and Qualifications:
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent communication and organisational abilities.
  • Proficiency in data analysis and report generation.
  • In-depth understanding of Information Governance and Data Quality standards.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with senior management and clinical teams.

Main duties of the job

As the Line Manager for Secretarial and Administration Teams, you will be responsible for developing and monitoring systems and processes that serve as performance management tools and early warning indicators for potential non-compliance with key performance indicators. This includes ensuring effective processes for flexible elective patient booking and rota coordination to meet outpatient clinic and elective theatre demands. You will work closely with administration and secretarial teams to monitor all performance targets across the Directorate, escalating concerns in a timely manner and reviewing capacity to achieve national access targets.

In addition to chairing weekly meetings to monitor performance and ensure maximum utilisation of outpatient clinics and theatre resources, you will collaborate with teams to scrutinise and challenge weekly validation processes to maintain data quality and meet targets. Your role will also involve assisting in root cause analysis for documenting cancer pathway breaches and working with the Service Manager to produce and analyse performance reports, identifying solutions to address areas of concern.
