Working closely with the Head of Strategic Delivery and Improvement this role will play a highly valuable part in ensuring programme and project benefits are managed in line with the Quality Improvement Framework. The PMO Benefits Manager will have healthcare experience and will proactively guide projects and programmes to identify, quantify, and track the realisation of benefits used to justify investment in the project or for value improvement.
Working within the PMO the post holder will be responsible for supporting the Head of Strategic Delivery and Improvement in implementing and embedding the Benefits Management Framework and associated activities. They will take a lead in ensuring benefits management activities across the portfolio of projects align to the Trust Strategy by working closely with other key departments across the organisation. The post holder will gain assurance that benefits are identified, mapped, clearly quantified and planned for measurement and realisation at the outset of our projects and throughout delivery. Following project closure the post holder will be responsible for performance-tracking benefits to evidence that benefits have been realised, working closely with the Strategic Delivery Hub including the Operational Planning and Performance Team as well as the Transformation Delivery Team to ensure our projects can evidence that strategic outcomes have been achieved.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will introduce a benefits management system and process into the organisation that is robust, links with transformation and improvement activities and provides evidence of value improvement. They will liaise with executives and senior leaders to understand their programmes, be able to identify benefits and measurable improvements to evidence these. The post holder will analyse data, produce performance trajectories, dashboards and complex reports.

It is a fantastic team to work in, with flexible working options including the opportunity to work from home on a regular basis. Site visits and team meetings are also a requirement of the post so the ability to travel across Greater Manchester is important.
