An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the well-established and respected Physiotherapy Service within the Rheumatology Department based at the Haywood Hospital in Stoke on Trent. The post-holder will be an autonomous and specialised practitioner, maintaining a complex clinical caseload, specialising in the fields of Musculoskeletal & Rheumatology, treating patient's individually or within a gym-based setting.
We are looking for someone who is positive, enthusiastic and innovative with the ability to demonstrate excellent communication, organisational and IT skills. The ability to evidence high quality clinical skills, excellent knowledge and experience of working in a busy integrated team. The postholder will independently manage their own caseload and contribute to department and service needs as required.

You will work within the Rheumatology and T/O Service. This service provides high quality care to patients from North Staffordshire and beyond following a range of rheumatoid conditions including trauma injury, deterioration in long term conditions and other complex presentations seen in this patient cohort. The nature of the service will be determined by local service specifications. This clinical remit of this role is supporting therapy services for the Rheumatology/T& O service based at the Haywood/Bradwell Hospital. This is a dynamic post that requires the post holder to work in an integrated approach working collaboratively with the patients their carers and the wider multi-professional team to determine effective treatment plans and patient focused goals. The core value of the role is to improve the health and well-being of the population served.

- Degree in Physiotherapy or equivalent. Registration with HCPC
- Relevant Specialist Post Graduate qualification and/or courses and/or development (e.g. professionally recognised courses in specialist area).
Desirable
- Modules at Masters level Evidence of further clinical study
Experience

- Relevant experience to the role including assessment and management of various conditions within the area of clinical speciality.
- Ability to manage time and caseload effectively. Supporting service users, families and carers in dealing with issues within the area of clinical speciality.

- Experience of negotiation and conflict management in clinical situations.
