We are pleased to share an exciting opportunity to join our fantastic HR Business Partnering Team at Sheffield Health & Social Care NHS Foundation Trust. We have 2 posts nowavailable due to internal promotion!
We are looking for 2 motivated HR Advisors who will provide advice and support to managers and staff within their designated Directorate. As a core member of the HR Business Partnering Team you will work in a generalist role providing support and advising on a range of HR issues in line with our Trust Policies.
*We are looking for people who are able to confidently manage conflicting demands on their time, navigate tricky issues towards solutions in a caring and compassionate way.
*We are looking for great customer service and ability to build strong working relationships within the designated directorate.
In return, you will be welcomed into a supportive team where, in addition to your day to day duties, you will have the opportunity to get involved in other aspects of HR e.g projects depending on your experience and preference.
In terms of flexibility, the HR Business Partnering Team have a hybrid working model in place.
Due to the number of part timer workers already in the team, we would prefer to recruit to these roles on a full time basis, working hours 9.00am - 5.00pm, Monday for Friday, but part time working may be considered in exceptional circumstances.
Main duties of the job
You will work with your HR Business Partnering team to provide day to day advice and information on all HR issues to colleagues within your designated directorate. This includes the provision of grievance, disciplinary, sickness absence and terms and conditions advice and hands on support to Managers and all staff groups.
You will be supported by the HR Business Partner and other colleagues within the team to deliver a professional service using your personal expertise and commitment to SHSC values. You will also support the wider team with projects.Our Team objective is to work in partnership with our service colleagues and other stakeholders to ensure the development and implementation of a first class service providing consistent and timely best practice advice.

Job responsibilities
- To advise Managers and SHSC colleagues on the interpretation and application of the full range of policies and procedures relating to general HR issues.
- To manage an individual employee relations and attendance management caseload, including provision of support, advice and guidance to Managers. Work in partnership to investigate, prepare and present cases, referring complex and highly sensitive cases to the HR Business Partner.
- Attend informal and formal meetings in relation to HR operational issues, where appropriate, including all stages of disciplinary hearings, grievance hearings and Employment Tribunals.
- Provide advice on recruitment to managers and support to recruitment coordinators and HR administrators to ensure KPIs are met.
- To support the HR helpline and manage the HR inbox as part of the HRA rota.
- To participate in organisational change projects by supporting consultation sessions and other relevant activities within the project plan.
- To support and participate in the development and delivery of training to all staff groups in all areas of HR practice.
- To undertake job evaluation assessments and reviews in line with Agenda for Change job evaluation processes
- Provide advice on terms and conditions of employment.
- Be proactive in working with the HR Business Partner and Directorate Managers to reduce levels of sick absence, working in accordance with the appropriate policies and procedures.
- To enable access to wellbeing and other services, eg payroll, workplace wellbeing, including support to managers for the creation of high quality management referrals to Occupational Health.
- Ensure all HR records and databases are maintained, providing monthly reports on workforce information and ad hoc reports as requested.
- To undertake delegated pieces of work in support of projects managed by the HR Business Partner
- To support the coordination of annual projects for example Staff Survey and Consultant Clinical Excellence Awards as required.
