Fixed term contract/ secondment opportunity for 12 months
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced renal Band 5 or 6 nurse with an interest in the specialist field of dialysis access.
The successful candidate will be working under the direction and guidance of the Senior Dialysis Access Nurse Specialist to facilitate timely referrals for dialysis access creation ensuring access patency supporting colleagues across the department to 'trouble shoot' dialysis access issues form strong working relationships with Vascular Surgical & Nephrology colleagues facilitate emergency restorative procedures for failing dialysis access, and much more.
The role is a 12-month fixed-term contract to cover maternity leave & will be based mainly at the Norfolk and Norwich Kidney Centre but could also include clinical visits to the NNUH Main site or Cromer Renal Unit.

- Pre dialysis patient education to refer patients for dialysis access.
- Making clinical decisions regarding access patency, maintenance, and potential intervention.
- Assessing new and existing arterio-venous accesses using point of care ultrasound.
- Liaising with all members of the MDT.
