Are you a proactive, non-judgemental nurse, committed to working in contraception and sexual health services? If so, Unity Sexual Health is looking for nurses who are able to work part time Monday - Saturday. We have opportunities in our main Bristol site - Central Health Clinic and at a number of community sites across Bristol, North Somerset and South Gloucestershire. We are looking for nurses who want to grow with the service.
Main duties of the job
Unity Sexual Health is a busy, dynamic clinical environment providing integrated sexual health services.
You will be a nurse with relevant post qualification experience in contraception and sexual health services.
You will put patients at the heart of your practice be able to work effectively and safely under pressure have excellent organisational and management skills.

Qualifications and Training
Essential
- Active 1st level registration with NMC
- Relevant training in sexual health and / or contraception
- Qualification in teaching, assessing and mentoring
Desirable
- Willingness to work towards Masters level academic study
- Has letter of competence for SDI fitting, or is willing to work towards depending on service need
Knowledge and Experience
Essential
- Appropriate post registration experience in sexual health / contraception
- Experience of working with a diverse community of patients or all age groups, genders, sexualities and ethnicities
- Appropriate proven leadership and management experience
- Evidence of commitment to research based practice or evidence of project work undertaken
Desirable
- Experience as preceptor / mentor and in providing training
- Experience of undertaking research or audit projects
Skills and Abilities

- Organisation and management skills
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and problem solve
- Competency in medication administration and management including vaccines and IM injections
- Ability to work autonomously or as part of a team
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills

- Good IT skills (Inc Word, Excel and Powerpoint) and experience using EPR systems
