Would you like to work in an innovative team, where there is a strong focus on staff development and delivering high quality care? We are looking for a Band 6 Occupational Therapist (OT) to join our well-established, diverse team.

We recognise that Band 6's are often the backbone of our clinical teams and we will therefore support their development both clinically and managerially. You will have opportunities to supervise staff, be an educator and have access to both internal and external training. We are committed to supporting staff growth, therefore Band 6 staff are encouraged to develop skills in leadership in preparation for Band 7 roles within CNWL.

We want you to bring your unique blend of experiences, backgrounds, perspectives and knowledge to our OT team as diversity makes us stronger.

The successful applicant may have contact with patients or service users. As an NHS Trust we strongly encourage and support vaccination as this remains the best way to protect yourself, your family, your colleagues and of course patients and service users when working on our healthcare settings.

Main duties of the job

You will have an OT-specific caseload, consisting of assessment, groupwork and individual interventions as well as contributing towards our Community Psychosocial Therapies offer with our Psychology colleagues.

We work within the Recovery Framework, encouraging independence, social integration and the achievement of personalised goals. You will have the opportunity to use your skills and creativity to contribute to the development and implementation of treatment programs, pathways and initiatives in order for us to deliver high quality, evidence-based interventions that improve service users' functional abilities, independence and overall quality of life.

Applicants must have a qualification in Occupational Therapy and be HCPC registered in order to be considered for the post.

  • Free access to our Staff and Wellbeing services to ensure that you are always looking after yourself
  • Excellent staff benefits. Our benefit packages are amongst the best in London and include childcare vouchers, health and wellbeing services, season ticket loans, cycle to work schemes, blue light card, discounts at Nando's and Superdrug, mobile phone contracts and much more!

CNWL is very fortunate in having a long-established professional structure, including a Head of Therapies, an AHP Associate Director, Trust-wide Professional Leads for all professional groups, and Borough and specialist professional leadership. This has the huge benefit of ensuring representation of our profession and therapies as a whole at all levels - both strategically and operationally.

We believe in creating an inclusive and diverse workplace, where everyone feels respected and valued. We are committed to creating a workplace that is welcoming and inclusive to everyone, regardless of race, ethnicity, gender identity, age, religion, or any other characteristic that makes you unique.
