We stand at the forefront of healthcare innovation at Dartford and Gravesham NHS Trust, embarking on an ambitious digital transformation journey. Under the strategic direction of our CDDIO, we aim to leverage digital technologies, data analytics, and information management to drive operational efficiency, enhance patient care, and foster a data-driven decision-making culture across the Trust. Our digital transformation programme encompasses a suite of critical and high-profile projects, including the implementation of a new Electronic Patient Record (EPR) system, maternity, outpatient, theatre and cardiology transformation programs, migration of the existing EPR and the Electronic Prescribing and Medicines Administration (ePMA) system to Microsoft cloud, a Kent-based NHS hospitals LIMS initiative, Acute Order Communications, among others.
The Programme Director will play a pivotal role within the CDDIO's team, leading the Trust's digital transformation initiatives. This position requires a dynamic and visionary leader adept at managing complex, multi-faceted digital healthcare projects. The Programme Director will ensure the strategic alignment, execution, and delivery of these initiatives, fostering innovation, ensuring technical assurance, and championing a data-driven culture across the organisation.
Main duties of the job
The responsibilities of the post holder will include working with the CDDIO on the development and implementation of the Trust's digital and data transformation programme, major digital projects across the Trust system. The post holder will work alongside the Chief Clinical Information Officer [CCIO] and the Chief Nursing Information Officer [CNIO] to ensure that systems and processes focus on supporting the delivery of safe and effective services to the population of North Kent and Bexley.
