It is an exciting time to join us here at Northumbria NHS Foundation Trust as we continue to develop and invest in our services as well as our staff. The Workforce Systems Department are responsible for the support, implementation and development of Trust wide rostering systems (using RLDatix software) for all staffing groups, ESR (Electronic Staff Record) system and Workforce Information/Reporting & Data Quality.
The team have a large programme of work with some key projects needing support. To support this programme of work we are looking for a full-time HR Systems Lead.
The post-holder will be assigned specific system responsibility against the needs of the programme, becoming the system lead and expert in their area. This will be fluid as we will constantly be evaluating against the current needs of the organisation to ensure that we continue to best support our ongoing service development and investment.
Main duties of the job
The location of these posts will be determined by the Trust requirements at the time of employment, we currently have resource requirements for both sides of the programme.
The post in addition to being the lead of a project/system will also cover tasks such as day to day maintenance, management and resolution of service issues, system testing, management of upgrades, training, data quality and audit.
The role is a mixture of working within the team based at Cobalt and working from home.

- To be responsible for the day to day operational administration and provide first line end-user support of workforce systems.
- To manage the day to day maintenance and functionality of the workforce systems and escalate any service issues accordingly to the appropriate bodies.
- To support the Team Manager in system testing and software upgrades and update training guides and documentation as a result.
- To support the team in the delivery and implementation programme including ad-hoc training and workshops.
- To ensure the quality and content of the data held within the workforce systems, and to provide accurate documentation, reporting and audits of the System.
- To interpret system information and provide/present reports to our management team and the Board.

Qualifications
Essential
- Degree level qualification in relevant area of expertise or equivalent qualification or relevant experience.
Desirable
- IT related qualification.
Experience
Essential
- Detailed working knowledge of a HR/Workforce System and NHS Information gained within a similar role
- Thorough knowledge and experience of Microsoft Office packages in particular Excel and Word
- Knowledge of HR System reporting
- The ability to adapt computing skills to new software as required.
Desirable
- Detailed knowledge of Allocate (HealthRoster or HealthMedics)
- Experience of supervising others and managing a team.

- It is an essential requirement of the role that the post holder has a valid driving licence and is either a car owner and able to use the car for work purposes, or has a Trust personal lease vehicle which may be used for the role. However, the Trust would consider making reasonable adjustments to the role, if necessary, to enable a disabled person to undertake the role
