We are looking for a driven, ambitious and autonomous Band 5 Nurse who is committed to delivering exceptional care for patients in the acute phase of stroke and early stages of rehabilitation. We provide a Thrombolysis and thrombectomy service. This is an exciting opportunity to learn the complexities of patients following stroke and the specialist nursing care that is required. Full training will be given alongside a strong supportive team environment involving all members of the multi-disciplinary team.
Our philosophy is to look after our patients with skill, kindness and compassion and to provide our staff with a strong team support network in which they can achieve developmental milestones and gain a variety of skills and abilities. We aim to create a warm friendly environment in which to respect and care for our patients, colleagues and visitors.
We welcome applications from those who currently hold a UK NMC registration. If you currently hold an overseas nursing qualification and require sponsorship we are not currently direct hiring Internationally Qualified Nurses.
Main duties of the job
The postholder will work as part of a team to provide an effective, safe environment of care for individual patients, their relatives and carers.
Previous experience in a stroke setting is desirable although not essential as full training will be given
