Highly Specialist Pharmacist ETWD and Clinical Services
In response to the updated standards for initial education and training of pharmacists (IETP), the trust is putting additional resources into supporting this reform for our trainee and early career pharmacists.
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our existing education and training team, for 12 months, to support and lead on the delivery of this large workforce transformation.
The post holder will be expected to work cross-site to support all training pathways. The main responsibilities of this post will be focussed on integrating independent prescribing into our well-established foundation year, supporting early career pharmacists post qualification, and working with higher educational institutes to deliver coherent programmes for all students and trainees.
The role will entail clinical support and work closely with Pharmacy leads for Clinical Services to deliver and develop ongoing projects.
Main duties of the job
To work with the Lead Pharmacists to identify and organises the delivery of training for all pharmacy professional staff to optimise the pharmacy service. Plan, co-ordinate and oversee operational delivery of all pharmacy educational programmes within the trust, with a key focus on undergraduate placement and integrating independent prescribing within early careers.
To provide a consistent clinical pharmacy service for all patients receiving care at LNWUH. The post holder is expected to work in line with Trust and national standards, in order to meet all Clinical Governance requirements.
