Post Title: Advanced Physiotherapy Practitioner Band 8A
Women's Health - Static post
Full Time/ Part Time
We have an opportunity for a motivated, forward thinking and dynamic physiotherapist to join the pelvic health team. Working alongside the MDT you will be responsible for the specialist physiotherapy management of complex patients with pelvic health conditions.
The post holder will be based within a therapy team in outpatient settings at both Bradford Royal Infirmary and St Lukes Hospital. Remote working and flexible working arrangements will be considered.
This role will offer the post holder the opportunity to work as part of an evolving Pelvic Health team and includes input to the highly regarded Obstetrics, Gynaecology & Colorectal service, along with pelvic pain and prostate patients. Referrals are received from a number of sources including the established MDT.
The successful applicant will be responsible for the delivery of specialised Physiotherapy to support patients with a variety of complex pelvic floor conditions. The case load will be a mixture of obstetric musculoskeletal, urogynaecology, colorectal, urological, dermatology & pain work. The successful applicant will be given support and training to meet development needs.
Main duties of the job
To undertake complex clinical duties and use advanced practices, procedures and interventions safely within the current legislative framework.
The post integrates expert clinical practice, training and education, strategic planning and service development along with research and audit activity.
To act as a source of specialist advice and expertise in the physiotherapeutic management of pelvic health conditions and provide advisory service to patients, specialist physiotherapy practitioners, GP, consultants and other health professionals.
To work multi-professionally for efficient and effective patient care, including attending MDT meetings around patients with Pelvic Health conditions.
The post holder will be required to work as a specialist and provide advanced assessment and treatment of patients with complex pelvic conditions.The post holder will be expected to provide support through clinical reasoning sessions and IST within the Pelvic Health team.
The post holder will have responsibility for participating in education of qualified staff including post graduate physiotherapists to master level study, GPs, medical staff and other health professionals.The post holder will work closely with Consultants, GPwSI and GPs.
The post holder will undertake projects and contribute to the planning of Pelvic Health service developments as required.

- Degree in Physiotherapy Studies or equivalent
- Working towards or in possession of relevant MSc or equivalent
- Working towards/in possession of NHS England ACP accreditation
- Extensive post graduate training in Pelvic Health conditions
- HCPC registered
Experience
Essential
- Extensive post graduate experience in Pelvic Health Physiotherapy
- Significant experience working at Band 7/6 or equivalent grade working with Pelvic Health conditions including uro-gynaecology, urology, colorectal, dermatology, fertility, uro-oncology, pain & sexual dysfunction.
- Experience of working as a first line practitioner.
- Experience in training staff of all levels including medical and other health professionals
- Experience of using research and other evidence to inform practice

- Advanced skills in Pelvic Health physiotherapy practice.
- Ability to take a lead role in the MDT
