We have an exciting opportunity immediately available for a dietitian who is looking to work with children with eating disorders (including ARFID) in a community out-patient setting. We are offering a band 6-7 development role however a band 7 post may be offered to a successful candidate with the required experience.
You will be joining an established and friendly community-based Surrey-wide child and adolescent eating disorders service, comprising of a Service Manager, Consultants, Nurses, Dietitians, Psychologists, Psychotherapists, Family Therapists and excellent administrative support. We are a high performing, dynamic and supportive team and therefore very able to meet and surpass our local and national clinical targets, whilst still ensuring we put the young people and families at the heart of what we do. The Service is CARE Excellence Accredited.

The service currently operates Monday - Friday (flexibly between 8-6). We are based in Epsom and also have a hub in Aldershot.

Main duties of the job
The ideal candidate will be confident in providing refeeding dietary advice and feeding regimens in accordance with the MEED Guidelines and have experience of working in paediatrics or eating disorders. This post is appropriate for those who have some paediatric experience who wish to develop skills within mental health, or those with some mental health experience looking to develop their paediatric skills.
The post holder will be contributing to multi-disciplinary assessment and reviews of outpatients and be actively involved in the development and implementation of agreed care plans. As well as dietetic interventions you will care-coordinate and deliver family based interventions (full training will be provide) . You will have the opportunity to lead on projects in line with service needs and to fully develop your clinical skills. Excellent and robust supervision is in place (managerial and clinical).
You will also become a valued member of the wider Nutrition & Dietetic team within the trust. Regular peer supervision with eating disorder dietitians is in place. We provide placements for student dietitians at Surrey University, and you may be involved in supporting and supervising the students along with the rest of the dietetic team.
